TiO2 CR50/AS (Titanium Dioxide/Triethoxycaprylylsilane)
Silane-treated pigment can be well dispersed in cyclopentyl methyl siloxane, having a very low surface tension and good hydrophobicity. But sometimes in an ordinary organic carrier shows poor wettability. Triethoxy octyl silane treatment not only to provide the best water resistance, but also because lipophilic octyl groups, such that it is easily dispersed in a lipid, mineral oil and silicone oil. Compared with Methyl siloxane surface treated pigment, it can achieve higher levels of pigment loading, stable physical and chemical properties of triethoxy octyl silane treated pigment. Since there is no Si-H bond, so there is no risk of release of hydrogen.
Functions
Excellent hydrophobic
Disperse in oil easily
Oil absorption value lower compared with untreated powder
Providinng long-term durability for formulation
